You can easily rename your Nexia®-enabled devices through either the Nexia Home web portal or the Nexia Mobile App.
RENAMING IN THE PORTAL
To Rename an XL Thermostat (XL824/XL850/XL1050):
- After logging into the portal, if you have multiple homes, select the home you wish to change.
- Select Climate from the menu on the left side of the page.
- Locate the thermostat you wish to change and click Menu.
- Select Settings.
- Select System Name.
- Click into the text box where the current name is displayed, delete the text, enter the desired name, and click Apply.
To Rename Other Devices:
- After logging into the portal, if you have multiple homes, select the home you wish to change.
- Identify the category of device you are changing (thermostat, camera, sensor, etc.) and select the appropriate category from the menu on the left side of the page.
- Locate the device you wish to change and select Edit Settings.
- Click into the text box where the current name is displayed, delete the text, enter the desired name, and click Save Changes.
RENAMING IN THE MOBILE APP
- After logging into the app, if you have multiple homes, select the home you wish to change.
- Select the device you wish to change.
- Tap the name of the device/pencil icon at the top of the screen.
- The current name should automatically be selected and your keyboard should pop up.
- Delete the current name and enter the desired name. To save the change, press Go if you are using an Android device, or on an iOS device, press Return or Done.
