Thermostat models XL824, XL850, XL950, and XL1050 have a unique identifier referred to as an AUID, which identifies the device to the Nexia® network. This AUID is registered to a customer network when the device is installed.
If you are seeing this message, the previous homeowner did not unregister the thermostat from their account when they moved. This can only be corrected by Nexia Customer Support via telephone.
How to find the AUID on XL824, XL850, and XL1050 model thermostats:
- From the home screen on the thermostat, press Menu.
- Select System Info. Depending on the firmware, the AUID may be displayed here.
- If the AUID is not displayed on the System Info screen, press About on the left side.
- The AUID will be 8 characters long. Please make note of it and have it available when you call Customer Support.
How to find the AUID on XL950 model thermostats:
- From the home screen of the thermostat, press Help in the lower-left corner.
- Press About at the bottom of the page. The AUID will be listed here.
- The AUID will be 8 characters long. Please make note of it and have it available when you call Customer Support.
Once you have obtained your AUID, please call Nexia Customer Support at 1-877-288-7707, Monday-Friday 9 AM – 8 PM ET and Saturday-Sunday 10 AM – 5 PM ET. We will also need the full address of the home for verification.
